First, brain mapping can be further researched and have applications in the study of autism, disorder of thoughts such as paranoid schizophrenia, and semantic dementias such as Pick's disease.(National Science Foundation,2008) The study of thoughts and ideas have always been a question mark and it would be a tremendous breakthrough in science technology if there are related links found for thoughts expression and generation and can be subsequently used for autism developments.
Second, brain mapping can be used for interrogating truth from suspects and should the truth gathered is found to hold, it can also be used as evidence in court. As a result, crime rates would decrease drastically and makes the society a safer place.
However, this could results in an over reliance on the technology and soon everything could be judged upon the results of the computer regardless of its high positive rates or negative rates. People would lose their judgment over time and leave everything to the computer as the fate of people is determined by their brain. The way of life becomes rigid and people would be good only at things they are told to be good.
The technology to read minds could be abused by employers used on their employees. This could be unfair to employees for their performance to be judged by a computer system. Thus, I think it is necessary for brain mapping technology to be available to people who have high authoritative control like the police or the government. This is because they can control or use the technology to rule their districts better.
In conclusion,brain mapping can have terrible effects on the society if fallen into the wrong hands so it is important to ensure that only people who can use it in the right way have their hands on the technology.

Firstly,I have problems relating my ideas into language words. This is particularly so when my assignment requires me to describe and assess situations critically. For example in MLE 1101,the module requires me to design a problem and evaluate.Hence I have problems putting across my ideas effectively in written forms. This problem has been improved when I started doing vocabulary exercises from books such as 'Focus On Vocabulary' and 'Writing Academic English'. It gives me insights and depths on the vocabulary world and I have improved my vocabulary skills as a result. Now i have more choices of words to use than before and this has helped me in my work.
Secondly,I find it hard to link my ideas in my work. This has made my assignments unreadable at times. Therefore, I have started reading up articles on transition signals. This has enabled me to add and compound ideas in an organized manner unlike before.
In conclusion,I find myself more comfortable writing in my engineering classes after reading up and doing grammar and vocabulary exercises. To further improve my language usage, I will continue to read up related language articles and also show my friends my written work for comments and editing.

Medical challenges to which engineering might provide solutions
Medical advancement has been possible mainly due to two reasons. One reason is the spotting of problem that needs urgent attention. The other reason is the invention of new devices in the medical field. For example, the invention of laser has redefined surgical process entirely.
Back in the 1990s, Human Genome Project was considered one of the most important scientific tributes to the medical world. The purpose of the project was to find out the complete order of genetic code that holds the key to health and disease. Because of this project, it is now becoming possible to interpret the nature of a disease and also to invent new vaccines to fight the virus. Some equipment that has been invented includes automatic sequencers, robotic liquid-handling equipment and software for recording data and sequence arranging of genes.
The challenge for engineering is to come up with cheap and effective methods to pass down this new genetic knowledge to the public. For example, some treatment may need to input healthy genes into cells within the patient’s body. Bioengineering technique has allowed this to be possible by using ultrasonic waves to make cell walls temporarily permeable to the insertion of the genetic material.
With the help of technological advancement in the computer field, scientists are becoming clearer about the functions and structure of the human body. The idea is to build a model of the human body parts through visualization information. The scale of the information could range from the size of a body to the size of a single cell.
Bioengineering has become an important aspect of the medical field today and in the future. It seems that journey of bioengineering has just started and there are more challenges like ageing population which requires the involvement of bioengineering.
