i think that article 1 is more important for the engineering profession. This is because it not only focuses on the probable challenges ahead for engineering, but also has a deeper underlying in how engineering can be used further to "shrink" the world and connect its people. Article 2 talks about the significant increased in engineers over the years and how they have benefited from the education system, especially in Singapore. Thus, it fails to recognize and elaborate on the challenges awaiting engineering in the future. Therefore, i find article 1 to be more important for the engineering profession as it provides a engineering vision and how it will progress in the near future.
In article 1, it shows the challenges faced in the near future of engineering and proposed remedies on how we can handle these challenge. For example article 1 discusses challenges ahead like the environmental problems due to the overproduction of nitrogen in the agriculture areas, the shortage of quality water, the lack of personalized medicine in the biomedical sector and the difficulty in preserving historical buildings. These examples served to remind us the importance of future engineering and how the challenges can guide the future of engineering in the right direction of advancement.
Moreover, article 1 also shows that engineering has it's limitations, whereby the advancement of engineering are hindered because it is still unable to reach some parts of the globe where millions, even billions have problems accessing resources for their basic needs. Citing from article 1, " engineers must frame their work with the ultimate goal of universal accessibility in mind", this shows that the engineering of today are still imperfect and how engineering can be used to a greater extent in connecting and helping people in different parts of the world.
To sum up, i feel that article 1 is more important because it has a wider perspective on the challenges of future engineering and as a result, it shows the steps needed for progression. However, though engineering has evolved a long way, it still has its limitation and this article has created the awareness of the importance of future engineering in bringing the world closer.

content- Nice work, you briefly summarise the ideas on both articles and do a simple comparison to justify your stand.
However, I suggest that maybe you can briefly explain why "engineering vision and how it will progress in the near future" focus on the topic on the challenges of engineering which you said article 1 does not eariler in the paragraph.
Also you spend more time to summary the article than to elaborate your point. For example. More than 70% of your paragraph two is about the summary of article and your explaination is only a one-linear. I understand that this is due to the word limit, so I will suggest that you limit the scope of content you want to focus on.
Orgainsation- Good uses of linking words betwee paragraphs, Moreover and sum it up. The essay flows from one paragraph to another smoothly.
Due to the word limit, you don't have a proper paragraph structure but you make it up by summarising everything in the last paragraph which I think is the best altenative method.
Thanks—an interesting post. It’s very commendable that you have made a short comparison between article 1 and article2, and illustrate their different concentration clearly in the first paragraph.
For the 2nd paragraph, I think you should say more about your own views rather than summary the article. Because of the limit of the passage, your own opinions are not clarified (only one sentence is not enough).
I think you may use a simple example to show the unavailability of engineering to fulfill people’s basic needs in the 3rd paragraph.
A good summary in the last part! Moreover, your writing style makes readers easy to understand!
Thank you for your hard working!
